She makes me do well in school.

I have always wanted to do well, but it always seemed that when it came to school work, I could just let it skate away. No longer. I have seen the good life and when you want it, when you can taste it, when it keeps you up at night, when all you can possibly bear to think about is how great class is going to be tomorrow, when you are interested primarily by learning and discussions and hypotheses and taking a chance on something, when closed mindedness causes nausea, when excessive rumination is the norm, when you would eat your books if you could absorb the material better, when you are driven by the haunting truth that you are part of a greater good and the thirst to make people's lives better through "Knowledge and Thoroughness" ... only then do you understand just how important it all is.

I can see it in the sunset.
I came, I saw, I learned.

Thanks, Abbey. Thanks for believing in me.

More later
