Go over his head about the not-working-from-the-hospital issue. You take way too much shit from him.

I actually have, to a point. I cannot claim a 40-hour week, but that is because I could not possibly have worked 40 hours while in the hospital with Nick. I did work some, though, because it was ultimately unavoidable. No one else knows how nor has time to take care of my job duties, so I pretty much had to work at least 10 of those hours. I will claim them, but I betcha he tries to (note the tries to) change my timesheet. We will see.

Thank you, hon. I know you have my back, and it pisses you off that I bitch about it and do nothing. But take heart...I am no longer doing nothing. If he does try to take my hours, I WILL go to Phyllis. As I said...FUCK HIM.

Love ya, miss ya, and I will be back at work Monday afternoon (I have to take the morning off for the girls.) :-)

Hey...good to hear from you and I hope things work out soon. As for work...I know what you mean. I just hit 8.25 points and am back at work after my 2 days suspension. Woohoo. Punish someone who misses work by sending them home. Their logic astounds me.

Astounds, confuses, frustrates......D. All of the above. pyrgomache November 23 2003, 04:58:06 UTC
Yes, I know exactly how you feel. While I do not have the misfortune (yet) of being on that blasted point system, I know precisely what you mean. It is rather difficult to understand how this system is supposed to benefit anyone, the company included ( ... )

One of the guys I used to work with got caught by the Lousiville bridge being raised for a barge one morning. Had the bridge not gone up, he would have been about 15-20 minutes early. Even worse, his Supervisor was also caught by the bridge, about 3 cars in front of him and STILL wrote him up!

It boggles the mind.
