Update...short and not very detailed, but hey....whatever
Ok, this update should be long, but it's late, I am tired, and I just plain don't feel like it.
I am still alive.
More shockingly, Lowell is still alive.
Nick is in the Arkansas Children's Hospital, and we have been here since Tuesday.
We will be discharged either tomorrow or Saturday.
Nick has strep and staph in his hands and wrists, and could not take the medicine orally, so he had to be admitted to receive treatment via IV and body wraps. He is getting better slowly, but surely.
The damn doctors refuse to give him any sedative at all, so we aren't sleeping. What else is new.
The best part of this whole damn situation is that I don't have to sleep in the same bed as Lowell. YAY for that. (No, REALLY....YAY!!!)
The doctors are really good other than that, and once discharged, we will be back within a week for a followup visit about his hands. My money (that's a joke by itself...but anyway) says that he will be reinfected within a month. I hope and pray not...but we will see.
I am so behind on my schoolwork, I may not catch up. I don't even know what the syllabus says, and I still don't have my books, so I can't even begin to study. Yip-ee. :-/
My wonderful boss refuses to allow me to work away from the office, and I have no PTO, so I am not getting paid, so that gets another Yip-ee. (Fuck him)
On the brighter side of things, hopefully I will be getting at least an interview for a job I have posted for. (Fingers, toes, all crossed)
Ok...I get to log off now and deal with Nick for the next three hours until he finally passes out. Right now he is playing with a plastic cup, making farting noises with his mouth in the cup, and watching Blue's Clues. Gosh, how could anyone not want my life? heh
I will update later, when I am not on the verge of a psychotic murder spree. (ok, one person doesn't actually constitute a "spree"...but close enough.)
