Your parental situation sounds a lot like mine. My grandparents raised me since the egg and sperm donor weren't fit to breathe, much less take care of a kid.

I'm glad that you got some closure! I don't think it's "too harsh" when it's someone you -want- to say these things to and have refrained from doing so for a very long time. Now that you've said what was on your mind, you can go on with your life and hopefully you won't be contacted by him anymore...
