I should probably go do Calculus, but...

Y HELLO THAR new friends. I am honored to have been added. Somehow I feel as though my latent "popularity" has something to do with the fact that my username is no longer preceded by two underscores.

It's funny how people choose to cope with things. I spent almost the entirety of my spare time today writing drabbles. ...Fluffy ones. This is mentionsworthy because (A) I don't write drabbles, and (B) six months of romance but I could never write anything fluffy to save my life. Yet now this happens and suddenly I can. THE IRONY, IT BURNSSSSS.

I also somehow ended up writing pairings I'm not even a fan of. The following is one of the more emo ones but also one of the only ones where the end result was even remotely presentable, despite the fact that it was whipped out in less than fifteen minutes.

As the 6th Division Captain entered his Vice-Captain's quarters, he was astonished to find that Renji was already packing for the human world. Nonetheless, he still found himself asking, "What are you doing, Renji?"

At the sound of his Captain's dispassionate yet imperious voice, the tall redhead looked up, only to find that Byakuya appeared as stoic as ever, though he thought there was a hint of concern suffused in those azure orbs that gazed at him intently.

"...I'm packing, taichou," Renji replied, his voice unusually soft and hoarse. "They haven't told us when we're leavin', but... Figured it ain't a bad idea to be prepared."

When his Vice-Captain subsequently returned to his suitcase and the matter at hand, Byakuya found himself drowning in an electrifying torrent of something he hadn't experienced in a long time: emotion. All he could find himself thinking of was how Renji had faithfully sat at the side of his sickbed every day until he had finally recuperated, and he was suddenly overwhelmed by an emotional deja-vu of events he'd rather forget, among which were confusion, abandonment, betrayal, loneliness, and... an exquisite sense of sadness.

It feels like you're leaving me... and you were never even mine to begin with.

Without another word, the stoic Captain walked right up to Renji and slipped an arm around his waist.

With one hand still resting on a stack of shirts, Renji froze, entirely unsure of what to do about the arm that had snaked itself around his abdomen and lay there as if waiting expectantly. Byakuya's words were the most timorous soft he'd ever head:

"Please do not go."

Where in Heaven's name did that come from?! Yes, yes, it was some random person's idea & prompt over at bleach_exchange, but I mean, what the hell. ByaRen is one of my most disliked pairings because (moreso than any other Bleach characters) I have trouble viewing Renji and Byakuya as gay, much less as being gay together.

It's... yeah. No.

Freaky metaphor for life?

I. I don't know. *shrugs*

In a weird, twisted way, the shit kinda sorta makes sense. I have this complex, see. I'm attracted to guys with gigantic egos and oodles of arrogance and self-righteousness to match, obvious geniuses that have let their talents go to their heads, and who (if they knew me would) treat me like crap. Like Albert. Oh, what I would do if he were real.

I know I'm being really vague and weird and if you don't know what's going on... I really can't explain it.
I'm in this weird mood where I'm not sure whether I ought to be laughing out loud or crying my eyes out.

I think I'm gonna' stop here before I start to sound emo, or something.
