About a week and a half ago, it was reported that fossilized remains of about twenty previously unknown species were found in Queensland in Australia.

Okay, since I appear to be having no luck writing anything I'm *trying* to write, I'm opening myself up to challenges for short fic. There's a basic prompt structure I ask you to follow, but other than that, pretty much go hog wild.

As suggested by nemo_gravis I'm pimping a couple of short stories that are sort of 'lead-ins' to the Dresden Files book series, written by Jim Butcher. These shorts are also written by Butcher. I guess they'd be PG to PG-13 ish? Something like that. Anyway d_tepes showed me these, and it was enough to get me into the first book. And now, of course, I'm hooked ( Read more... )
