OA anyone?

I was wondering if anyone has ever been to OA (Overeaters Anonymous)? And if so, what was your experience, was it helpful?  I'm trying to figure out if I should be involved with OA. My therapist doesn't think it's a the group for me right now because they are so focused on losing weight and i'm just getting out of treatment for bulimia. I go to

I'm not a restricter but I know folks in OA who are. Some do ABA and OA. I'm in a large metro area so perhaps we have a wider diversity of eating disorders in meetings.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sounds like we are both in good places for meetings of various 12 step groups. How did you get involved with OA? How long did it take to find a meeting you liked?

I used to live in CA. Oh, so many years ago
