"uh.."Chinen wiped off the beads of sweats on his forehead as he massage the soft squishy thing in his hands. He never thought doing something like this was hard. He took a deep breath and continued with he was doing. Reading the instructions from the book was easy but doing it was another story. He heard someone yelp from behind him and looked back.
"Yuuri! what are you doing"Saaya, his sister asked standing up on her feet and dusting her skirt "Look at the mess you made here in the kitchen!"
"Sorry, I was trying to bake some cupcakes" Yuuri looked back at his sister with a few doughs staining his cheeks.
Saaya chuckled. "You sure you dont need help?"
"Yeah" Yuuri said waving his hand, shoo-ing her away.
"Alright" Saaya, Chinen Yuuri's older sister shrugged her shoulder "Just make sure you clean up your mess....AND don't blow up the Kitchen" she yelled as she left. She didnt bother asking why was he making cupcakes. It was pretty obvious anyway. Sharing the same room has its peaks. She saw his calendar marked on November 15th with a red marker and Saaya's Birthday was scribbled on it.
----------------------
"Saaya-chan" Mirai hopped to her friend with a smile "Happy Birthday!" She greeted her
The 17 year old gravure idol grinned and smiled back at her thanking her friend with a hug.
Yuto and Yamada walked beside Mirai, sandwiching the poor girl between them and gretted Saaya as well.
one, two, Irie Saaya counted. Someone else was missing. The holy trinity as people would put it was incomplete. Chinen Yuuri was missing.
Yamada smirked and gave her a piece of paper. "Its for you.."
Saaya was dumbfound and stared at the folded paper. She gently opened it and smiled.
"Umm... I have to go and buy ...uh.. some drinks. Yeah... My treat" She said a slight blush appearing on her fair skin.
Mirai grinned "RIGHT" She looked at her with a smug face
"B-bye!" Saaya, turned a heel and jogged to the school garden. Passing by two of her classmates who were happily teasing each other and talking about going on a trip together to Paris. Blind Item? R and S.
Saaya stopped on her tracks and sat on the bench trying catch some breath when she suddenly felt someone sit beside her.
"I-im glad Yama~chan was able to give the note to you..." he said shyly
Saaya looked up and saw the third person, she was eager to see. Chinen Yuuri. His hair was gently tossled to the side and still had those goofy smiles she secretly liked...no loved.
"C-Chinen-kun" She breathed. Her heart started to flutter as he grinned at her. "uhh.."
Chinen fiddled his fingers and looked straight ahead, staring at the bushes of roses
"H-Happy Birthday!" He blurted out lamely.
Saaya giggled and loooked at him blush in embarassment.
"H-here" he interrupted her and gave her a small box. "It was supposed to be my birthday present to you but..... It didnt came out as I hoped it would be"
She smiled and took the box, noticing some of Chinen's fingers were wrapped with colorful bandage and flipped the box open.
"The Y on your name was the only one that didnt get burned...." He explained staring at the almost burned cupcake "that much..."
"T-Thank You" She looked at him and threw him a big hug. Chinen turned bright red as he felt something press on his shoulders but ignored the thought.
Saaya grinned and pecked him on the cheeks whispering this was the best birthday gift she recieved. Yuuri slightly nodded and simple held her hand.
Y in Saaya's name. Y in Yuuri's name. One thing was for sure though. Chinen Yuuri isnt your best cook but he can be the sweetest little kid you could ever meet. Saaya was sure of it.
