Today is the last day of
Chairty Chic, so if you are anywhere near George Street between 10-4pm today, pop into St Andrew's and St George's church (opposite the Dome) to see some fabulous ethical alternatives to High Street Fashion. There are stalls selling jewellery and accessories utilising recycled materials (including my own
label, vintage and secondhand clothing, exhibits of reworked clothing from local students, helpful information on waste awareness and advice from a stylist on customising clothes. There is also a cafe selling cakes backed by elderly Christians, which are in fact are some of the tastiest and cheapest varieties of cake in existence. And entrance is free. So go.
