Introducing (With Much Accolade) His Royal Royceness!

Apr 20, 2006 10:20

Well! I've now spent goodness knows how long trying to put my feelings into words and failing dismally, so hello delete key! Start over.

It is now three weeks to the day since Royce and I first met up in the city, and I am delighted to inform you all that we are now officially together! What else can I say without turning this journal into an even more dramatic soap opera than it already is? He's about my height with soulful deep brown eyes and a smile that makes me melt like Pink Lady Easter eggs (none of this bulk-buy congealed margarine crap that wouldn't melt in a volcano). He gives the biggest, bestest hugs at frequent or non-existant intervals, peppered with kisses on the hand and cheek (among other places) and gives genuine compliments (stuff other than 'sure your bum looks fine' or 'you are the most delirious sugar plum cupcake angel fairy princess that orbits the sun and your radience smoulders my irises oh siren'). He is also incredibly patient (come on, he's dating an Aspie; it's in the job description!), tolerant, understanding, intelligent, gentle, sweet... he's not even gay! He's also incredibly open and honest with me, and is willing and able to involve Mum in discussions should the need arise. (He's also close to his parents which is really cool, so they are also very helpful). I'm hoping he doesn't get embarassed with me saying all this, but I think he's pretty spesh and when you have something good you want to share it! On a slightly less soppy note, Royce turns 22 three days before my 20th birthday, grew up in Western Australia, went to uni and did all the hardcore sciencey things, transfered and did hardcore computery things, and is now working with billing procedures in a computer-programmery way. I got to meet his parents recently too, as they have sold up their bakery in Karatha to go on holidays and are currently hanging out at Royce's place. They also seem pretty cool, and his Mum is all crafty and stuff too! Speaking of mums, mine has also been being rather awesome; Royce has now stayed over at least four times, and Mum is being really cool about it all! Neato! She even bought him a toothbrush and toothpaste for when he stays over! Oh yeah, and Royce has an amazing singing voice. And Mum really likes him. I do too. Yeah. And we see each other heaps. Yay!

Ok, that was exhausting! In short, I'm exceedingly happy. In other news, I'm annoyingly sick, involving intermittant sore throat, blocked nose, tiredness. Since I am treating the first two by slowly guzzling throat lozenges, I am not also experiencing many nosebleeds due to poor dried-up noses. *sigh* Win some lose some I guess!
