Well, I've had a few costuming snafus, but fortunately I have parts of last year's costume to fall back on.
I shouldn't have tried to do any more sewing on Monday, but I was feeling the crunch, so I got up and immediately started making my taxi cab yellow chemise. I made so many stupid mistakes. I measured wrong. I couldn't cut a straight line on the fabric. I completely ruined one of the sleeves to the point that I can't fix it and I've run out of linen so I can't remake it. Carl came to my rescue and ordered more linen so I can try to finish my chemise on Friday when the fabric is supposed to arrive. If it doesn't come I can just wear the old chemise, I suppose, even if it does have green on it and I'm supposed to be the "red Floozie." Note to self: don't sew anything when you're emotionally drained from a last minute stitch-a-thon and dress rehearsal - take a break.
Today Carl and I went on site to do a photo shoot for Jezebel's new website which should be up by Friday night/Saturday morning. It will be a work in progress, but the site will be functional and should be a lot of fun. It's designed to be interactive, so I hope people will visit often and participate frequently. Right now there's just a "Coming Soon!" splash page up, but as soon as the rest of the site is ready, I'll announce it on the Bristol Board - in whatever incarnation the board may take at the time. BTW, the memorial bricks are up on the south side of the Towne Square Public House. All three of Dave's bricks are up, as well as Barton's. We've been checking every time we went on site; I'm glad to see they're finally up.
