Waiting for direction...
I am sitting in my hotel room in Orlando waiting for my compadre to finish getting ready so we can leave. Still don't know where we are going today, could be Magic Kingdom, could be EPCOT. We may just decide we are too hungover to go anywhere today and just sit by the pool.
The sun finally came out in Florida!! It has been gray and cold since we got here, so glad to see we will soak up some therms before the weather turns ugly again on Monday.
We have had a great time here. Decent food, the flaming cheese was a highlight, but mostly it has been the vodka tonics that have been keeping me going this whole trip. We have stayed out past 2am every night, mostly because that is early if you take into consideration that back home it is only just midnight. We are hoping to find some place to go dancing tonight, but we will have to see what our options are and how we are feeling first.
My co-worker and friend that I am here with is an absolute riot. She is fun loving, talks like a sailor and fears nothing! So of course, we get a long great. She also is in the SCA, sort of. Three years ago her first event was Pennsic. Her best friend has been in the SCA for years and lives in Artemesia and really wanted to go to Pennsice. So Danni said she would take her and ended up having the time of her life! She hadn't actually been to an event in the West, but when she first started with my company she came to talk to me in my cube where I had a picture of me fighting. She looks at it and says "is that Pennsic?!?!" We became fast friends after that. She went with Dani and I to Estrella last year and to a few more events in the West. It is really cool to have someone who I work with who not only knows what the SCA is, but GETS it!
I will post more of my time here at Disney World when we have actually been there. Last night we just hit Downtown Disney for dinner, but today will be the real thing baby!
