A question for those among you who translate/read japanese - any recommendations for an easy-to-use kanji dictionary? I'm looking for one ordered by stroke number, not reading, and it doesn't have to have a grammar section etc. I'm getting a bit sick of having to switch on the laptop every time I attempt to translate something ( Read more... )

Have realized recently that I draw faces way too pointy from the nose down, like some kind of neanderthal, so have decided from now on not to do this in such an exaggerated fashion because now everything I drew looks kinda funky. After a year and a bit of agonizing :) This pic has an epic tale of loss behind it; drawn 26/08/08, almost finished colouring Jan '09, hard-drive died Jan '09 before I could back up the nearly-complete coloured version, picked this back up Jan '10, finished 21/02/10. Okay, so ( a while ago )

I know that GAM is over, but that's never stopped me before, so I give you the two latest sketches (aside from all the stuff in my sketchpad - I hate not owning a scanner...). Done from scratch on computer using my gorgeous tablet, and taken from my latest (WIP) fic, ( Distraction part 1 )

I know I'm all kinds of late with this, but ages ago someone wrote and awesome fic about the ikkou being stuck in a nunnery to heal from their wounds, forcing Gojyo to pretend to be an eunuch and Hakkai to be a female nurse. GOD I LOVE MY TABLET!!! I can happily spend hours on it, making better quality art faster than ever, and would probably have babies with it were it possible...
