Hello
I'm supposed to be booking a hostel for tonight, but I'm exhausted and neither I nor Katie are feeling particularly motivated to head back out into the streets of Rome. As this trip draws to a close, I can't help but feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and extremely grateful. I have never had so many random, crazy, nerve-wracking, life-threatening, amazing experiences jam-packed into one week before. I have never seen so many beautiful sights, spoken so much in a foreign language, or met so many interesting people.
Italy is a country of contradictions. It leaves you hot one minute and cold the next. I love this place, and I cannot wait to come back again. But at the same time, it will be good to be home.
