Stupid Shiny Volvo Owner

So this week...I don't know. The weekend was great. Megan and I went up to Boone and went to Cheap Joe's Art Stuff and got $100 36' by 36' canvases for $19 and paint for my art project and for her painting that she has commisioned me to do. Makes me feel like a real artist now. I've never let myself really go when it comes to my art but I've now realized that's right up there with writing as in getting me through life. So I've decided when at all possible, money wise, i'm going to paint. I have this whole idea running around for this huge abstract work for Julia. Kind of an almost dream like surrealism but not quite with an...I guess i'll just have to paint it. I can never describe things that well when they still only exist in my mind.

Megan and I had such a blast. I'm so glad God put her in my life as a new (instintly close) friend. We shopped and walked around Boone before heading up to Appalachian and walking around campus. I took her to Makoto's and she had never been to a resturant like it. It's the most amazing Japenses resturant where you sent at a C shaped table with a bunch of strangers and the grill is in the middle. Then the Japanese chef comes out and does this amazing show of fixing your food right there infront of the whole table then plop on your plate. I swear it's the most amazing food in the world...ever! We just had such a great time.

So i'm reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer at the moment (kutos to Julia) and it's amazing. I'm being honest, this is the best book i've picked up all year. I can't put it down. Inbetween classes i've been running into to people because i'm reading it on the way to my next class.

Speaking of reading, I can't stay on here another second! I have to go get back to Twilight before my last class at 5:30 then Matt is coming to get me and taking me to El Paso! My favorite resteraunt beside's Makoto's in Boone.
