OK, so the events might not necessarily be so crazy in and of themselves. Possibly they only make me look and feel crazy. For a taste:
1) Last night at Kris's I fell asleep while we were watching a movie. He woke me up at the end of the movie and I couldn't figure out who he was. The lights were on, so I was looking directly at him and could very clearly see him. He asked if I wanted to go to bed. I said we had to find Kris first. He looked confused. I looked around for Kris from where I was sitting. He asked "What??" I repeated that we had to find Kris. (In my head, this guy in front of me was Kris's brother. In reality, this was actually Kris and he doesn't have a brother.) After a few seconds he asked me who he was. I looked at him for about two minutes, completely unable to come up with his name. I snapped out of it soon afterwards and wandered up to bed. It freaked us both out quite a bit. (Later, Janeet quite helpfully pointed out that I did this another time in the fall when Patti woke me up, so I felt better for some reason.) I was not in the least bit under the influence of anything.
2) This afternoon, Kris and I thought we'd go for a walk. Much of the walk took place on shoulders of secondary roads. Apparently while walking I stepped on a dead snake. I didn't notice it myself, but he did and said something to the effect of "Whoa! Look at that guy!" to himself. I went to turn and look back at whatever "that guy" was, but he urgently told me to keep walking. I realized that he would only tell me to do this if there was a snake, so I freaked and ran away.
3) A few hours later, on my way back home, I dropped Kris at the lake where he and his paddling dude were training. It was in Dartmouth, and this required that I get out of Dartmouth and to the Hammonds Plains road by myself. Although I have been carted around the area an awful lot, I had never before yesterday personally driven in Dartmouth, and that circumferential highway is quite a daunting one to some of us. I got reeeeeally confused by his directions but had to get going, so became panicky too.
GOOD GOD I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE.
AAAAAAGGGGHHHH.
