Finally confirmed my reservation for this hotel! After hearing some friend's rave reviews on the hotel and location, i think i feel quite safe...any idea if we can have a choice of breakfast? I'll be staying for 4 nights and am afraid i'll get sick of the same breakfast by Day 3 haha...

oh don't you worry. For brekkie they have a big spread! Intercontinental, American, Japanese, Thai and Muslim - your choice! Just too many tour groups putting up here hence quite crowded ( ... )

it was the standard room i think. On the lower floors (= cheaper) rooms. But the hotel starts at the 18th or 19th(?) floor, so even a 'low' floor is 20+ floor at least. Good view, but dirty windows. HAHA

i tried the massage at the hotel. It was good, think paid about same rate as singapore spas, around $70. But if you think in terms of hotels, it's cheap. But when you're tired from shopping, I strongly recommend the massage place just round the corner of the hotel. There are a few to the left of the hotel, facing this other old hotel. I like the one nearest to the hotel, their foot massage is superb! It's only like S$10 for 1 hour foot massage or full body. I didn't want to remove my clothes and change into something else so I just opt for the foot massage 2 days in a row! It was so shiok!!

Second the huge rooms ... but bear with the slow lifts as it service alot of guests since this is a huge hotel. But the furniture are older than what you see in the picture now, but it's still clean and spacious.

good choice! and dont worry about the buffet breakfast, i was there for 6 days and we only got bored of it after the 5th day :P

I like the sky zone room I booked in March. Quite nice. Like Jo, I got sick of the breakfast after the 3rd day. But I must admit, their spread is waaay better than many hotels in BKK. Enjoy!
