1) Pink is my favorite color. It makes me happy. I love wearing pink, and I consider myself to be quite fortunate that my favorite color is so flattering for my skin tone. I have multiple dresses, shirts, sweaters, shoes, and other accessories all in a rainbow of pink hues. It might seem silly, but I've totally bonded with some of my closest girlfriends over our shared love for a color.
2) I really like peanut butter and honey on a toasted baguette. It's soooo yummy.
3) I can relate to people with addictive behaviors or people who engage in destructive behavior to distract them. I don't have many vices, and I have a sick longing for some sort of vice to indulge in right now. My only destructive behavior is my compulsive skin picking, but that hasn't worsened any with this ordeal, mainly because my scalp is healing, so I don't have anything to pick. I can't drink, because I'm on antibiotics. I can't stop eating, because I'm on prednisone, which makes me hungry all the time. I'm too vain to cut myself, because I don't want scars. I can't hook up with a guy, because that's completely out of character for me and besides, there isn't anyone available.
4) I'm giving serious consideration to applying to work at Disneyland Paris next year. I've applied for the Teaching English Assistantship, but I don't know if that's what I want to do or not. Working for Disney would be sooooo cool. Plus, they provide housing for international employees. Rent is just taken out of your paycheck. I wouldn't have to find my own housing, and I would have roommates again! I'm more than conversational in French, and language requirements are just conversational in both English and French.
5) My rose and pearl necklace was a good impulse buy. I've worn it so many times while I've been home, and I've received many compliments on it. It makes me feel pretty and feminine to wear it. And roses will always have a special significance for me, even if two groups of stupid boys erred. My girlfriends understand.
6) I'm 22, I've never had a boyfriend, and I'm okay with that. Sometimes I think it's unusual, certainly, especially when friends of mine are getting engaged, getting married, or having kids all over the place. I don't think there's anything wrong in being single, though. Frankly, I have amazing relationships with my guy friends, a closeness that parallels the early stages of a romantic relationship. Four of them are dateable; two of them, realistically dateable. I'm not saying anything will happen with any of them, but I think I'm the kind of girl who will end up with her best friend. I just have to wait and see if he'll be one of my current best guy friends, or one I haven't yet met.
7) Letter-writing is a lost art form, one that I hope to resurrect.
