Movie Review: The Jonas Brothers in 3D

Feb 27, 2009 16:21

Last night, Allison (Lil Al, as opposed to Big Al, who I more frequently mention) and I went to see Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience at the midnight showing. We were the first ones there, arriving more than 30 minutes early. We wanted good seats. :)

An experience is definitely the best word I can use to describe it. Allison and I had the time of our lives. We giggled, laughed, gasped, screamed, shrieked, clapped, grabbed each other in ecstasy, bounced in our seats, danced in our seats, and sang along. The film completely enthralled us. It was totally worth the $16.50 we each paid on our tickets, the almost 30 minute drive from Furman to the cinema, the missing out on sleep...seriously, it was amazing.

I would've liked seeing more backstage stuff, but what they included was priceless. Shirtless JoBros? Totally hot! I loved seeing how humble they were at the sights of all the fans and screaming girls. I liked all the songs included, especially the two guest performances by Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift. There's just something about Demi and Joe singing "This is Me" live. And then when Taylor sings "Shoulda Said No," featuring Joe...hot. So hot.

My recommendation? If you love the Jonas Brothers, grab a friend and go see the movie. If you like the Jonas Brothers, wait for the premiere on HBO or the DVD release. That's what I did for the Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana concert movie. If you don't like the Jonas Brothers, you might want to avoid the movie theaters for the next week. Or at least stay away from any group of giggly girls at the movie theater, if you must go.

jonas brothers, movie review, fun
