internship

So, I've weaned down to two internships to choose from.

The first studies traumatic epilepsy using a rat model.  They pretty much bash a rat on the head and see which ones develop epilepsy and then they try and see if there are any physical markers that can predict if the animal will develop epilepsy after the traumatic brain injury.  They also study if oxidative stress affects the development of epilepsy (which I understand nothing of).
Pros:  Animals models are used all the time and it would be great experience.  Learning how to work with MRI volumetrics and EEG data.  Lots of statistical analysis.
Cons: hmm... I didn't get to tour the lab so I don't know where I'll actually be working.

The Second also studies epilepsy, but she studies the specifics of eleptogenesis.  She works more generally to find treatments for epilepsy which involves more work with pharmaceuticals.  It is much more cellular and has more to do with staining cells and seeing how brain slices react to different chemicals.
Pros: Also uses an animal model.  Pharmaceuticals are awesome.  Little slices of living brain tissue to test.  Also some imaging.
Cons:  More biochemical, less large function (which would probably be the case with anything having to do with drugs).
Mixed:  she just moved labs so every thing is unsettled but I could see something from the beginning instead of coming in in the middle

Both are MDs so I would also get to follow them around during their clinic hours, however the second works in pediatric neurology which is more interesting than regular neurology like the first does.

So, I don't know what to do.  I've stalled as long as I can but I need to make a decision by Tuesday at the latest.

Please help!  (Sorry, this certainly wasn't very beautiful sounding or anything)
