New Years 2010
Spent the last day of the year at the beach in Byron Bay.
That night at the arts factory Lastain, Lucas, Linda and I cooked up a feast for our last meal for the year. It was fucking delicious! Lucas is a chef and Lastain looks like jesus so we had something equivalent to the gods of food.
We partied at the Arts factory and then we all ventured the beach, like everyone else in Byron. The main beach was so crowded so we went to the wreck.
Ended up joyfully reuniting with Linda! We had breaks at all the fire places but stopped at the last one. Then we went skinny dipping together, dried ourselves by the bon fire and then decided to take on the light house mission. A two to three hour walk to the light house before sunrise!
It was awesome, Antoine joined and it was a pretty good number for hitchiking. We walked to Wategos beach and then hitchiked to the light house.
It was perfect. We were the first people there! jumped the fence of the edge of the very steep hill and laid on the grass overlooking the waves crashing hundreds of meters below on the rocks.
The sunrise was beautiful but kind of cloudy. Nonetheless it was lovely to watch the first sunrise of the year!
