The snow finally came. It came late last night. When we ventured from the studio to be prone on our respective couches at about 9:00 ish, there was barely an inch of accumulation. We ended up watching the Olympics and going to bed fairly early for a Saturday night. Woke up this morning to about 14 inches average. Drifts were higher in some places. I got a good 12 hours sleep. My body must have needed it. The surrealists will have to wait for another day.
It was one of those days wherein laziness could easily be the choice, but we were surprisingly productive. The garlic bean spinach soup is delicious. The aroma wafting about the house was divine today.

E was shoveling our extremely long driveway when one of our neighbors, (actually our only neighbor, Dave) came over with his snow blower and saved E's back. This was a good god-send.

Meanwhile, I was doing aerobic house-cleaning and preparing the soup for the crock-pot. I was going to take photos, but it is not a highly photogenic concoction.

Later in the day, we finally hung curtains in our bedroom. Yep. We are procrastinators, d'jour. It took us awhile to find hardware and curtains we actually liked, and we have essentially no neighbors at the back side of the house, so the urgency just wasn't there.

Yawn. If you're still here.... have a great week!
I hear the couch whispering my name, beckoning me to be one with him.
