decorating dilemma
Since I got my new bed, I've been needing a new comforter for it. I was kind of thinking a green/yellow palm tree theme since I have this rad palm tree lamp, but I can't seem to find any palm-themed comforters that aren't completely gaudy. Well, except for the absolutely perfect palm frond one I found at Ross that apparently doesn't have a brand and only exists in a twin size, so I'm just going to have to give up on it.
However, Wal-Mart has some new bedding designs out and they're really great. I saw some while I was there last night, and there were a couple I really liked. But I can't decide, so I'm asking for your input.
CHOICE ONE:
This is a teal/chocolate brown color scheme that I hadn't even been thinking of, but it really caught my eye last night. It may even work into my palm tree theme, because the three pictures I have to hang have palm trees looking out over bright blue water. I took a couple pictures with my cell phone but they don't really do it justice:
The comforter is light teal with dark brown, darker teal, and white squiggly stripes going through it. The actual colors are more along the lines of this stuff, which is actually the line the comforter's a part of but for some reason it's not online. The opposite side is a tan-ish color.
I could also pair it with this rug, tying in the beachy-type theme, and hope that Daisy didn't use it as a sharpening post.
CHOICE TWO
This is a bright green theme, but wouldn't really go with the palm tree thing. I do love green, though, and this is very simple but very pretty. My biggest concern is how much cat hair would show up.
Both this and the above comforter have really nice matching throw pillows, and actually, the green one is shown here with the above rug as a suggestion to "complete the look".
CHOICE THREE:
Keep looking.
So, what do you guys think? My bedroom is fairly small and the furniture is mostly medium/honey-colored wood.
