...Withering, one might say, like this very city itself, no matter the efforts these people put towards salvaging the remains.
He wished not to think of it, but thinking of things in light these days was difficult. Even with his magic returned to him, it was but a solid reminder that this moon, that which brilliantly shone above him, which was but a pale reflection of what he knew, was not his to govern.
With a sigh, the clock tower came into view. Cobalt eyes settled upon its great height, and scanning the alcoves that lead upwards towards the peak... Yue's eyes caught sight of a well-kept man seemingly leaning towards the light of that false moon.
Endrance... he thought. It ( ... )

Impossible to see what it was as the moonlight showed only a dark, winged silhouette. A Lady Guard? Did they fly so high as this? He had never seen one do so before. But Endrance was uncertain, and felt it was best to be prepared.
Drawing his sword, he reached back to steady himself against the crumbling mortar of the building. This would certainly be an...interesting battle.

He was, after all, a creature that was born to defend, and in all respects he knew as well how to defend himself, not just others.
Light spread between his hands, bold and blue, illuminating his face for a moment, the perfect hue to stand out against the night, to repel shadow. The light formed, guided by delicate white fingers, and took on the shape of a lengthy bow and an arrow. The bow was readied, the arrow nocked. And he drifted nearer the tower, circling the male below with his form in clear view.
Would he attack? If so... Yue would defend. Was this Endrance? If not... he worried for the safety of the other. And also wondered if this were some trap that he had been lured into.

Wings. That doll had...wings.
"Who...?" He took a step forward along the narrow ledge, not looking where he placed his feet, his eyes riveted on the circling figure above. "...what are you?"
Before he could get an answer, the ledge crumbled under his boot, throwing him off-balance suddenly. If he had been paying attention, Endrance might have caught himself. He could muster hardly more than a gasp as he toppled off the edge into thin air.
His wide eyes were glued to the image of the angelic figure above as he plummeted toward the ground.

In one moment this stranger stood combat ready atop a building several feet above the face of the earth, and in the next moment he had fallen, and like a lead weight was helplessly dropping. Yue, in the span of mere seconds, had noticed the vacant expression upon the stranger's face. There wasn't fear there, but a look of calm surprise. It was eerie... but then, there was an angel racing to catch the stranger, was there not?
Perhaps this man had faith in someone that, moments ago, would have readily attacked him if the arms drawn had been used against them...?
He sighed. Like his eyes, his breath was cool, stirring locks of blue-violet hair. Hair not his own. The stranger, crushed close to his bosom, was still and quiet. For that... and maybe only that... he was grateful.
It was not long after that his bare feet came to rest upon the earth, but he did not release the male he had saved. Rather, his eyes searched over him as if probing for answers... although his voice was silent.

Kaoru was aware of every millimeter of contact between them, unsolicited and unexpected as it was. It was overwhelming, making him feel light-headed. His cheeks warmed to a dark rosy hue.
"I..." His mouth worked, but no words would come. "I..."

He appeared to be the same person, but never having met him before, it was not easy to tell.
At least one thing was for certain. Here, in his arms, this being seemed without the intent to harm now, so Yue settled for not letting go. He didn't wish to fight unnecessarily. The shedding of blood for whatever reason wasn't something he longed for.
How peculiar this meeting was starting out... "Endrance?" Yue inquired again. If it was not him, he would move on.

"...yes," he answered at last, his voice barely more than a gasp. "You are he...aren't you." What a great warrior he must be to have won wings. Endrance was almost envious.
