He was waiting.
He was good at waiting.
Of course, it wasn't patience that made a man, but what a man made with his patience. Akabane, for instance, was not the sort of man who would lull about in unconscious thought while he waited for a meeting to commense. He was a man of action, and even now, as he strolled the river bank, his white gloved hands folded neatly over his chest, he was plotting this evening's excursion, mapping it out inside of his mind, deliberating ways to make sure that he... remained excited.
Fuchoin Kazuki. Certainly not his pick of the litter, you could say, but he had been a companion of Ginji's, and that counted for something. It counted, perhaps, because there were no others from home whom he recoginized, could have some fun with... whom he could trust to be fun.
Any moment now... he expected the string wielder to emerge. Any moment now he expected... the atmosphere to grow a little more cutting. Would he hear the jingle of the other's bells in his approach?
