Summary: Claire takes advantage of the fact that Sylar is now the squishable and adorkable Gabriel. Hilarity probably ensues.
There was something about Gabriel that made Claire wish he'd never go away. She cared a great deal for Sylar and honestly did like him just the way that he was, but after having spent time around his more innocent and gentle side, she was left with a bit of a pathetic crush. Not that it mattered, since Gabriel had all but fallen in line after being told he was her boyfriend. She had him, but she was going to lose him. And then they'd go back to arguing every day, and go back to where she couldn't touch him without feeling as if she were doing something wrong. They'd go back to the way things were, and she didn't really mind that. She just didn't want Gabriel to have to leave. Couldn't she have them both?
Truth be told, Gabriel reminded her too much of West in the way he was so docile and did whatever she asked. Too easy to lead and control, when she was wanting to be led and controlled. As much as she said that she hated it, she really did thrive in situations where she knew exactly what was expected of her. As much as being controlled pissed her off, it was also something that she wanted in a relationship. Where was the fun if she was the one in charge all of the time? She really did think Gabriel was adorable, like Zach and West, but he was also someone who she'd probably end up growing bored with. She couldn't help it, she just had a tendancy to like the bad boys that kept her on her toes.
"Funny how things work out." She laughed to herself, smiling at her reflection in the mirror as she finished getting ready to go out. She was going to drag Gabriel out and about to do something, since they were both bored and she really wanted to take advantage of the fact he wouldn't mind her holding his hand. It was probably wrong of her to do that, since he really didn't know her and was creeped out by being in purgatory, but she couldn't help herself. If he was in her situation, he would've done the same thing. At least, she kept reassuring herself of the fact as she peeked her head out of the bedroom door and called his name.
"Gabriel?" The house was silent, which meant all of the kids who had previously been there were either grown up or simply out. Actually, she hoped that Gabriel was still lurking around someplace, because if she didn't get to go and do something, she was going to be forced to sit around and pout all night.
