Who: L Lawliet (Ryuuzaki) / Gale When: Today~ Where: Near the tall tower~ Clock tower ^^ Rating: PG. Warnings: ... L's Gale's wife? Uuuh Summary: L and Gale decide to meet after a conversation on L's journal.
Gale was waiting close to the tower that, in fact, was nothing more than the clock tower, in the middle of the lower ground. He had been waiting, for a while now, messy green hair unprotected, since he had left his sort of hat in the place he had been staying at - After all, he had read that meeting people with a hat on wasn't seen as being polite, and these people were not from his world, so he would rather please.
It would make things a lot easier.
Things were going just fine until he woke up that morning feeling extremely weird. Love, had been the diagnosis and now, there he was, waiting for the one he had felt these feelings for, someone he didn't know, personally, but who he supposed was to become his wife.
It was a male as well, but he had been informed such things could happen. The Junkyard had some examples as well, in fact.
L lifted his hand up in a slight wave, his posture still poor as he looked at the other male with his dark eyes, examining. He had never seen such green hair before, either. Of course, L was no expert at manners. Shoes untied, dressed sloppily with poor posture were some habits that wouldn't be gotten rid of so easily.
"I am Ryuuzaki. Gale I deduct." He was positive of it. The other male had been very...unusual to talk to through the journals, but unusual never meant unpleasant, just different. He didn't raise an eyebrow or flinch when he spoke to the other, just had that calmness he always had when he thought about things.
"Yes, I am Gale." He made a small smile and moved his right index finger to his nose, making a movement as if pushing invisible glasses back - A habit he had always had, for not apparent reason.
"You are the one I love." He very calmly pointed out, looking the other over. "This feeling of... freedom, only possesses me when I am near you. Is that... an explanation?"
"That seems to me to be a logical explanation, and I am sure that I feel something that could be described as the same thing," he told Gale. He put his thumb to his lips in thought, staring intently with his dark eyes. The dark circles underneath them weren't simply a trait of not sleeping, they just always were there.
"I do not understand this place's ability to make feelings such as these exist." He would have to investigate.
"Either way," Gale started, looking at the other. "I feel the need to protect you. You seem tired, wife, should I take you somewhere you could rest on?" He asked, approaching with a small smile.
He was getting quite hungry too, but he would try to control his Atma while Ryuuzaki was around, after all, Vayu was not a pretty image when he was eating.
"I'm sure we will have some answers if we search for them. For now though, your safety comes first."
L let his hand move up to Gale and let it rest on his cheek a moment. "I always appear tired. It is a normal feature of mine." Perhaps it was the combination of sugar and work that made him look like that, but he rarely ever seemed to sleep. And the last sleep he would have had would have been the moment that he noted that look in Light's eyes as he watched him die.
"...This place needs to be investigated. I will stay safe. It seems as though I have already died once before arriving here."
Gale slowly moved his hand above L's, letting his finger brush his, softly, blinking and trying to comprehend the gesture that feels so nice.
...What is it? It is so soothing...
"I will make sure you rest." Nods slightly, not understanding what the other means by dying before coming here, but surely accepting it, wondering if he too died, devoured by enemies (or allies) during the battle with Varin Omega. "Yes, it does. I will protect you, Ryuuzaki."
L's fingers were gentle and awkward over Gale's cheek, and he nodded. "I will be willing to accept that you will protect me," he said, even if he knew he did nto need it. He didn't let his hand drift away for a moment. This was quite a peculiar feeling to him, after all, differently than it was peculiar to Gale, he was sure. L at least had the capacity to identify feelings, even if he did not fully comprehend them.
"I will rest," he assured Gale. "And then I will investigate to find out what is and is not safe."
Gale closed his eyes, moving his face slightly so his lips brushed L's hand, leaving a small kiss there, a gesture he does not recognize, but that sure felt right.
"No harm will come to you." He assured him, making a small smile when the other told him he would rest. "Let me show you the place I'm in, there is a bed where you can rest."
L's eyes kept solidly on Gale, noting the movement and the kiss on his hand. But he did not flinch or move his hand away. He just observed. He had never had such an action done to himself. Aside from that kiss on the cheek Misa had given him at that one time.
"I thank you," L said calmly. He let his hand drop away from Gale's cheek so that he could walk side by side with the other male back to where he was staying. "You have been here long enough to make a residence?"
Gale allowed the other passage, moving beside him but always a little to the back, like he used to follow Serph, the leader of his tribe, Embryon. It helped a lot with protecting.
"No need to." He smiled a bit, the feeling still foreign to him, this one of smiling. He could bet the gesture even looked weird on his usually stoic features. "I haven't been here long, but I have gathered the energy necessary to find a place to stay. It is not difficult with the right calculations - This place isn't as bad as people say it is. There is food everywhere, demons to devour. It's just bad that I don't happen to have any Dis-Ache remedies with me, the stomach aches can be a killer, so better think before eating here."
He paused then, looking over at the other.
"I can try everything before you do. To make sure it is safe."
"It is inappropriate to not give thanks where thanks is due, even if it not thought necessary by someone who received the thanks." He didn't seem bothered by the smile that had found itself on Gale's face. Dis-Ache, are you ill to have to take such a medicine.
He shook his head, "That is not necessary. I am positive that food here will be fine." To have Gale test everything seemed well -- sweet -- albeit unnecessary.
"I see." He simply answered while indicating the way to the place he had found, eyes looking around for possible targets.
The Dis-Ache medicine was one made specially for demons, with the objective of taking the stomach aches away when they ate bad creatures. Stomach aches did not allow them to gain Atma which could eventually lead to the Madness status, which led them to lose control of their demon form and it would start devouring everything, friends and foes, until they were either killed or heard Sera's song, a song Gale recognized more than anyone else around him, as strange as that was.
He simply nodded at the other, wondering still if he would really be okay with eating any creature of the area.
Yet, what mattered now was to take him to a safe place to rest.
L stayed close to Gale, it did make him feel considerably safer than he did on his own. "Are you ill?" L asked. If that was so then perhaps it was better if Gale was the one who rested. The dark circles under his eyes wouldn't go away after one night's rest anyway. He would spend too much time huddled over a computer in order to get his investigation working well.
He was hoping to get things just as organized here as they were at home. ...Even with Light here. To L, it didn't really matter, he still had a bag of candy in his pocket, and that was all he really needed to function right now. And when it was gone, it didn't really matter what he ate. He just hoped there was sugar to be found to hide any horrible tastes.
"Ill?" Gale asked, turning to look at the other. "No, I'm not. I'm alright." He said, smiling slightly. "No need to be worried, beloved wife."
Gale blinked at his own words. Something told him that that would be something he wouldn't normally say. As a matter of fact, it was something he would probably laugh at, in any other circunstances, but, right now, it felt... right. As weird as that was.
L wondered about those words, too. He hadn't heard them like that before, and he guessed that this was a weird and random instance where he felt as though hearing things like that and even being called wife was something pleasant. But decided he would not allow it to affect him the way that he noted it had affected others. In that overwhelming out of his control way.
It would make things a lot easier.

Seeing the other approach, made Gale wonder.
"...Are you Ryuuzaki?"
