Muraki left his house as soon as he could trust the fire he had made in the old stove to not burn his house down. He moved briskly across the streets, head down and arms thrust into his pockets, trying to get by as quickly as he could without being caught by anyone.
Standing on Aaron's step, he knocked, hoping the boy remembered their engagement for the evening.
