Summary: After Schuldig’s dreamscape, Elena goes to find the one person who she thinks might understand it in the way she does…
Elena lingered outside the house she knew well, the one that some time ago she had been reborn into, with a handful of rocks and slight reservation. What if he wasn’t awake? What if he didn’t have the dream? What if it had been the leftovers of a fever she thought she had kicked?
But if the other dream had been a message, this one… this one was a scream, a terrible shriek that wouldn’t, couldn’t, be ignored.
Sighing, she rolled one of the small rocks between her fingers. Bed, while warm and comforting with the presence of Reno, it lacked the basic comprehension of things, of what she needed. Shu would understand, even if she regretted him being able to see her with those damn tear tracks down her cheeks like slashes. He would understand because they had walked this path together before, and maybe they could try to discuss it between one another. Maybe, maybe there was a clue, and Shiva help her, she had to find it!
Fearful of waking his roommate, Elena lightly tossed the small rock, no more than a pebble really, and watched it bounce off Shu’s window with a little tap. Another one followed suit, and after another moment of silence, she sent a third flying up to hit it as well.
“Come on, sleepyhead. Answer the damn window.”
