And time to brood. Which he was doing both of at the moment. Of course, Karasu preferred exploring the more wretched, run-down establishments. They held secrets he ached to unveil, thing she longed to see and learn from. It was fortunate perhaps that being a demon...his hearing and sense of smell were far better than a human being's. He had caught the faintest wisp of Endrance's scent and curious, had moved to follow after it, wondering what trouble the young one was getting in (as well as wondering why he bothered) when that ear splitting noise assaulted him. Violet eyes shifted towards the building he stood before and after a moment's hesitation he lunged inwards ( ... )

Still...they had left Her.
Perhaps the supernatural speed She granted him remained still.
Endrance had not had need of it since arriving here.
But now...
As he heard the rush of legs in the dark, Endrance reached for Her and moved. ...only to find himself in nearly the same place he had started. "Nooooooo!"
Giant legs grabbed hold of him and began to cover him in a disturbing soft, sticky substance.

His head snapped up, turning to the left. Down...that way. With another sigh the demon found himself holding up a hand, summoning the trace eyed bombs to light the way. It wasn't much but the batwinged abominations that normally could only be seen by demons cast off their sickly green light. Enough so that he was able to see. The air around the crow demon all but thrummed with gunpowder ready to be activated.
Spiders. He had to hurry. And well...now was certainly no time to worry about bringing down the building.
"ENDRANCE!" he called out, swinging himself forward, the bombs flying about him. A spider was spotted and without hesitation they flew for it's head with the intent of destroying it.

One arm pinned to his body already with webbing, the other lashed out and jabbed at the faintly glowing red eyes that loomed over him. He thrashed, kicking, but the other spiders were coming to the aid of the first.
Hearing the shout, Endrance did not recognise the voice. But he was glad not to be alone anymore. "Get it off!" he shouted, jerking his head away as webbing got in his hair.

Unfortunately, Endrance was still attached to several of his attackers through their webs. And the fall caused the most damage to him of anything so far. Still, he did not give up, taking off a piece of armor from his collar and using it as a makeshift scythe to cut at the webs holding him as he attempted to crawl to safety.
He did not see the spider that had just been holding him explode in squishy guts. Eyes shut tight against the bursts of light, Endrance dragged himself under what remained of one of the corpses and waited.
Who could cause destruction like this? Only one bomber in Purgatorium came to mind. Endrance could only hope he would not be next.

It was eerie, heartbreaking and terrifying all at the same time, and Karasu thrilled for it. Those violet eyes, while concerned for his young friend...were also alight with a lust for battle. To hurt something that he wouldn't be punished for!
He could see now that the younger male had cut himself free and was crawling to safety. Good. He kept that in mind, whirling at an ominous clicking sound, another series of loud explosions causing that spider to fall, what was left of it charred.
"..." he lunged for Endrance now, more clicking sounding, as if coming closer to investigate. Were there more, or was it just the sounds of the few retreating to their shadows echoing. He wasn't sure, and only knew that leaving...would be wise.

Suddenly there were hands on him, grabbing him, dragging him out of his hiding place. Blind still, Endrance began to kick and flail, trying to do as much damage to his captor as he could.

"Stop!" he snarled, drawing the other tighter against him, against his coat as he began to run. If one thing he could be pleased for...not having wings anymore had made him far faster, far more agile than he had ever thought possible. Endrance was kept tucked against him, so close until perhaps all he could smell was the sandalwood and jasmine that made of the Crow's scent. Far better than spider gore...and the gunpowder he was so fond of.

With his good arm, Endrance held on to Karasu, trying to be as little trouble as he could during their escape. He turned his head and hid his face against the demon's coat, trying to process what had happened. Endrance would have been dead if not for Karasu's help. But...why?
