Having retained memory of the ninja's scent from their previous rendezvous, Logan was starting to wonder if the man's approach on him was with intention to strike up a conversation, or if he was just passing by, happenstance at its best, all things considered. Kakashi's immediate jump into acknowledgment and questions struck him as a little odd; he seemed a little too eager... though, granted, they were working under the same management now, so the request to "chat" did allow for some degree of reason ( ... )

Darkness stuck to every corner of every building like a drapery of shadows that couldn't be contained, and blue eyes squinted through the heavy blackness, pausing every now and then to be certain that - yes - she was going in the right direction. It would have been impossible not to, considering there was only one way to get to her home, and that was a relatively simple ( ... )

Yes, she was there, that same damnable woman he couldn't find the balls to include in the slaying of mere days ago, standing like a phantasm no more than six strides away from where he stood now, just... looking at him.
On one end of the spectrum, he had to wonder why a woman who obviously lacked the gall to take up her fallen companion's gun and attempt reciprocation for Schuldig's impalement was out here in the first place, wandering about all by her lonesome while an obviously... disturbed... individual with six, foot-long blades and an apparent indifference to injury was out parading the streets. How queer ( ... )
