He wasn't moved for Logan's sake, nor was he doing it because he trusted Logan in any particular way. It was because Jean was concerned, because Logan was Rikku's friend, and because Kakashi had already figured it out ( ... )

Well, that was to-the-point.

Having retained memory of the ninja's scent from their previous rendezvous, Logan was starting to wonder if the man's approach on him was with intention to strike up a conversation, or if he was just passing by, happenstance at its best, all things considered. Kakashi's immediate jump into acknowledgment and questions struck him as a little odd; he seemed a little too eager... though, granted, they were working under the same management now, so the request to "chat" did allow for some degree of reason ( ... )

LOL YEAH SHE - FINDS - TROUBLE. AND THIS IS SO Tl;DR, SRY. treastening December 1 2007, 05:35:01 UTC
It was a walk she preferred to take alone. After all, it wasn't that far of a journey from the ShinRa building to her, Cloud, Kadaj, and Aerith's home. Maybe it took twenty minutes at the most, and even through all her troubles, maybe she should have realized that it wasn't the best idea. Still, she was a rather stubborn woman, wasn't she, and she needed time to herself every now and then to collect her thoughts. It was a bit later than she had originally thought when she had set out of her workplace into the darkened streets of Purgatorium, manila folder clutched tightly in her hand as she went (filled with plenty of information on Jenova and her progress, no less).

Darkness stuck to every corner of every building like a drapery of shadows that couldn't be contained, and blue eyes squinted through the heavy blackness, pausing every now and then to be certain that - yes - she was going in the right direction. It would have been impossible not to, considering there was only one way to get to her home, and that was a relatively simple ( ... )

Yachiru was absolutely not a happy camper. She was also, while young and child-like, not stupid and knew that she had been lied to. However, unlike certain father-figures who didn't seem to care about the worth of their word Yachiru would be keeping hers tonight. Sneaking out so as not to arouse Jean's suspicions, she was going to locate Logan to bring him home regardless of the possible dangers. Fear was not an option, she had died before and would most likely die again long before her time here ended, but it would be worth it if it helped to get Logan back to Jean where he could get help.

She knew he was sick, or possibly even crazy, but she also knew that when given the option he refused to even look at her which showed weakness on his part. Defending oneself was usually a reflexive action and Yachiru had no doubt that Logan wouldn't hesitate to hurt her in his own defense, but that didn't mean that with proper planning and tactics she couldn't get the upper hand. She wasn't expecting to, but there was always the chance that ( ... )

I AM SO SORRY THAT MY REPLY IS MADE OF FAIL! X__X shouldve_didnt December 1 2007, 05:52:02 UTC
He quickly slammed the book shut and slipped it into his nin-pack but hardly bothered to straighten himself up. No one special, just Logan and his usual jabs--nothing personal. "Ah, yeah. That's me."

"Ah, I'd have to talk with you about the position," he continued. "I'm sure that I'm capable, though--would you like to put that to the test?"

His hand slid its way upward to the forehead protector and lifted it to reveal his red eye, the sharingan.

"Because it's said that the sharingan can see one's future. Let's see how accurate it could be."

Great. Two new scents.

Thoroughly distracted by Kakashi's bizarrely enthusiastic approach -- and not to mention whatever it was he was reading; the cover looking a tad on the naughty side, though this was entirely unimportant -- Logan had very nearly failed to make the shift in movement allowing him to meet the scientist's eyes before she'd uttered his name. Yes, she was there, that same damnable woman he couldn't find the balls to include in the slaying of mere days ago, standing like a phantasm no more than six strides away from where he stood now, just... looking at him.

On one end of the spectrum, he had to wonder why a woman who obviously lacked the gall to take up her fallen companion's gun and attempt reciprocation for Schuldig's impalement was out here in the first place, wandering about all by her lonesome while an obviously... disturbed... individual with six, foot-long blades and an apparent indifference to injury was out parading the streets. How queer ( ... )
