This article pretty much declares every discomfort I had with the plot of Avatar that I couldn't quite articulate.

I really want to see the cool CGI and 3-D and everything, but I'm not sure I want to sit through a plot and theme that makes me pretty uncomfortable to do it?

I feel I was a good bunny this weekend. I went shopping, found an amazing, magical bra for my bridesmaid dress -- so magical, so convertible, it came with instructions -- got a new pair of jeans and a few new clothes at a very good discount at Penney's (gotta <3 Penney's), perused shoes and backs for bridesmaidhood. Went on Friday night with vom_marlowe to see Cloverfield despite the freezing-ass cold and the trouble with my car window (the whole mechanism that controls the window needed to be replaced, good-bye $400). Car was fixed up so nobody could bust in, so I was good to go.

J.J. Abrams' new "what the hell IS it???" movie, Cloverfield, starts this Friday! I am totally excited! My plan is to go to the 5:45 show at the Cinemark Merriam ( 5500 Antioch, Merriam, KS, 66202). Any of the local folks interested?

1/18/2008 - Cloverfield finally arrives in theaters. I spend all day trying to avoid spoilers as to what the movie is actually about.

1/31/2008 - LOST Season 4 returns. Thursday nights now. 16 weeks of new episodes!
