- background slides (minimum 10) for my seminar which is fast approaching in 6 weeks
- send the initial paragraph about my grant to my thesis mentors for editing and to talk about ideas
- finish the 10 slides for 502 assignment 1 (due feb 13), to then present to mentors for feedback/editing
- re-read the attractin literature from this summer, making notes on new areas of research.
- also- look up experimental designs in published literature and start making sense of it
- CALL THE MCARE INSURANCE TO MAKE SURE JAKE IS COVERED!!!! then, order him a replacement insurance card since he lost his over x-mas break
- send Karen's 21st birthday present so that it will reach NY by Thursday. Hopefully she'll have a chance of getting it on Friday (her actual birthday)
- study and take my first 831 exam on Tuesday (it should be pretty easy, but if I don't get an A in this class I'll cry)
I think that's about it. It's going to require a lot of 'outside work time' working that I'm loathe to give up, but I guess I have to come to grips with the fact that I don't actually work a REAL 9-5 job-- I'm a grad student and we don't have lives.
