I spent most of yesterday lying on the couch at my parent's house while my stomach writhed and cramped.  Weird.
I'm feeling much better today but I haven't eaten anything yet, so I'll just have to take it as it comes.  Jake has developed a head cold (probably from stress), so we're all just sickos around here.

TODAY IS CHRISTMAS EVE!!!  I'm really excited for Christmas and I hope people like their presents, because I think more thought went into each person this year than the last couple years.  Of course, the last two years we went abroad, so it was easy to bring people things from foreign parts and that would be it.  This year we had to be a bit more creative and careful with money because we're living on a tight budget.

Jake's concert went well, I'm pretty sure I posted about it.  He impressed many parents and teachers who of course had to tell him it was "THE BEST CONCERT EVER AT BURTON-GLEN".  He's taking that all with a grain of salt, though.

It's snowing in NY, which means that we'll have a white Christmas.  Things have worked out as far as scheduling Christmas times with each family and I think we'll be able to pull it off.  In any case, this Christmas will be 20 times more enjoyable than the last one, where Jake's brother and wife were beginning their divorce while the 'other woman' lurked upstairs.

I'm pretty much infatuated with Olive during this vacation.  She's been SO CUTE lately and been such a good girl everywhere we've taken her.  It's hard for me to believe she's still so small while at our home in MI, but here against the other dogs she looks like such a puppy.  (That sentence is horrible but I don't know how to fix it)

So here's the plan:
Christmas Eve:
-Hang around the Purington house relaxing and getting cleaned up
-Dinner with Jake's parents
-Service at the church we were married in
-My parent's house for cookies and wine before they leave for Mass
-Sleep at my parent's house

Christmas Day:
-Wake up at my parent's house for early morning presents there
-At 10 AM, head to Jake's parents for Purington presents with Jack-tastic
-At ~11AM, head to Grandma Barb's (91 years old!) for Vallencour family time
-Head to Ilion to my cousin's house for Streeter Christmas
-Dinner and evening in Ilion
-We may head back to Carthage that night or we may stay down there and go to a movie (tradition between the cousins)

Day after Christmas:
-Head back to Carthage to rescue the Olive who will have been left as to not cause chaos at other people's houses
-RELAX

2 Days after Christmas:
-Jake is going to Glens Falls to visit with his sponsor teacher from student teaching and some college friends
-I will be staying at home, maybe visiting with my girls (?) and loving the Olive-Monster

Iron Chef happens sometime before New Years
We might spend NYEve with Alan and Erin and we're heading back to MI on NYDay

Happy Holidays! ;-)

christmas, family, traveling
