the sea, crazy golf and non-sexuals

Today was a paticularly random and generally great day. I met up with Anthea and Rachel and drove down to Brighton. Just as we stepped out of the car the sun came out and it was just a beautiful day. It was my perfect weather. Sun with a breeze. Well maybe there was a lot of wind sometimes but I do get hot quite easily (make that very easily) and it suited me perfectly. We sat on the beach and had fish and chips, then walked down the sea front and had a shameless ride on the carousel that was run by the friendliest man on the planet. He really did seem to relish his job. Next we played Crazy Golf and wasted about an hour doing that. It was good enough but the last time I played Crazy Golf was about two years ago and I remember it being much more thrilling. I was in such a nice mood earlier, I love when you notice that you're relaxed and calm and still on the inside. We went for a drink in a gay bar and played lots of pool, before moving to a pub and playing more pool. Met a girl that Anthea knows through livejournal called Steph, and the four of us discussed Anthea and Rachel's choice to be non-sexuals. It all went over my head to be honest, I was too busy looking at the gorgeous sky and the sea.

We went to the venue where Ladyfest was on not long after eight. Some enjoyable music from Mirah, although after the twentieth down beat love song I was hankering for some drums. Great venue though...really intimate. I'll link to some pictures of today once Anthea uploads them off her camera.

I'm spending far too much of my wages already, but I have plans to go to London tomorrow to visit Jess, and I really want a haircut before I go. I wish one of my friends was a hairdresser, would make life so much easier for me, especially how my hair grows abnormally quickly.
