Not really recovered from my History panics. I didn't win anything in the music festival, which really got my goat; I've been practicing for ages. Different adjudicators, different strokes... The audience, at any rate, loved 'The Diva's Lament', and for the pop class I got a lovely email off the winner saying she thought I should have won and my voice was gritty and soulful and she was amazed I could turn it on for the low parts and when I went to the high parts, could just soar. So I was sad, but I've cheered up a bit. You may have noticed an emo entry earlier, which was posted just after I got back from the last class.
Speaking of singing, my Dad's got me the best birthday present in the world; three hours in a recording studio with five of my best friends who are all singers. We're going to get backing tracks for some ensemble songs and take the roof off. I can't wait.
I wish I could have gone to History on Tuesday, but I had a hospital appointment where they drew blood =/ It's not that I'm scared of needles. I just don't like them shoving it in so deep every time so they can eke out all the red stuff they can.
Tomorrow I'm going to see a physical theatre production of Frankenstein. We used elements of it for our scripted piece in Drama (which went very well) and it'll be nice to see a professional company do it. Only downside is I get back at 11.30 and I have a singing lesson early next day. Best hope she shows up this time...
