I agree with you totally. I still write stuff like that but I post so rarely (real life sucks up all my time), that it barely counts. Definitely gets lost in the sea of smut.
Guess we'll just have to point it out to each other then. Like for example, Lex aka Retrolex is posting again. She's been editting her old fics and putting them back up.
*does happy dance* LEX!!! Damn I missed her work! "Third Party, Fire and Theft" was my favorite piece by her and I'm beyond thrilled she's going to be re-posting that. Eeeee!!!

If there are still people writing non-smut, the fics are just getting lost in the sea of porn, that I miss spotting them. I've noticed that, yes.
