The first hour or so of their travels had been entertaining enough for Caroline as Jake told her some things she could see out the window. Hour four was a little different as she was getting fidgety in her seat and didn't really care to stare at the map anymore or try to find another radio station. At the next stop, she was totally buying an adaptor for her iPhone so they could at least listen to music she liked.
Truth be told, she was making a lot of mental lists for the next stop. The car ride was boring in a way she hadn't expected. Maybe it was because she wasn't driving, or maybe it was because Jake was focused and his suggestions involved her taking a nap and she didn't feel sleepy. Now she was just leaning against the window, legs curled up under her, and sighing as they passed by a blur of green. "How have we not even gotten out of Washington yet?"
