Mystic Falls, VA | Super Late Thursday Night

Oct 06, 2011 18:19

The past few hours had been super intense and all Caroline wanted out of life at the moment was a liter of blood and a warm bed. She sighed as she parked her car along the street; her supply of fresh O positive was back in Fandom and the last thing she needed was Damon to catch her pilfering his stores when she was trying not to get all involved in supernatural bullshit this week. Okay, supernatural bullshit beyond helping Tyler with his transformation, but she maintained that was a different situation since he didn't have anyone else and she still remembered what that had been like. Helping Tyler had nothing to do with how much she was still agonizing over the distance between herself and her own wolf-boy. But it worked out for both of them, stopping Caroline from moping around town and giving Tyler someone to ensure he didn't break loose and hurt anyone. And then to stick around to set him free and take him home once the transformation was over. Caroline was trying to ignore the part where she had totally taken advantage of Tyler's need for comfort post-transformation and snuggled against him with a blanket while he'd calmed down and came back to his senses. If he'd been ten degrees warmer she might have felt right at home.

But now she actually was home and frowning up at the house she'd grown up in. It wasn't the same after Fandom; Caroline didn't want to go inside only to try and fall asleep alone and cold and miserable. Whatever, Caroline didn't feel she had much of a choice and she sighed again as she quietly let herself into the house, banishing all thoughts of heat and Jake with the night and focusing on how the first rays of morning were just starting to glow over the distant mountain ridge. It would be a lovely sunrise in the valley.

[NFB, for that hot chick with a gun.]
