title: shiron man
One Hour Challenge: theme: magic; catch: it doesn't quite work like it should.
Shiwon
humour, insanity, EPIC DUMB
I wanted to watch Iron Man. Instead I was coerced into writing this. D:
unedited as per the challenge rules!
And then, with no explanation and a touch of magic, Shiwon became Iron Man. It was somehow Donghae's fault, probably. Heechul's too since he'd given Donghae the idea of trying out some new magic tricks on Shiwon. And Maybe Hankyung's fault for not being attentive enough for Heechul's liking, prompting Heechul to take his boredom out by giving Donghae ideas, which caused Donghae to by a magic kit in the first place. Shiwon was really just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I...I don't think." Shiwon touched the glowing bit of technology at the center of his chest, then looked up with wide eyes. "Um."
"Well," said Heechul. "That didn't work out at all like I thought it would."
Donghae poked at Shiwon's chest. "It could be worse," he said. "You could have turned into a bunny."
Shiwon felt a bit faint.
"So," Hankyung started. "Super Hero?"
"Oh, does this mean we've graduated from being Super Junior?" asked Donghae. Shiwon thought he was much too excited about the situation.
"What are you doing in here, we have to be on stage-- oh my God." Eeteuk stopped dead in his tracks, closed his eyes, opened them, pressed the back of his hand to his forehead, turned back around and exited the room.
Heechul folded his arms and tilted his head in thought. "The suit looks a little tight," he remarked. "Turn around."
Shiwon obeyed, though internally he reasoned that it was only because he was in a mild state of shock. It wasn't every day something someone else did went horribly, horribly wrong and he somehow ended up in the middle of it. He ignored how that was quite obviously a lie.
"What did you do to Eeteuk?" Kangin shouted, coming into the room. "He just left here looking like he'd seen a-- I quite. I'm going home." Kangin turned and walked out of the room. Faintly, Shiwon could hear Eeteuk trying to half-heartedly convince Kangin that things weren't as weird as they seemed, giving up, and then a door slamming shut farther away.
"So," Hankyung began after a moment of silence. "Can you fly?"
"I... maybe?" To be perfectly honest, Shiwon wasn't entirely sure how he was even still standing. Flying seemed more than his brain could fully comprehend at the moment.
"Of course he can fly!" said Donghae. "He has a super hero suit. That means he can fly."
Hankyung ran his fingertips lightly over the suit. "It doesn't have a cape," he concluded. "How can he fly?"
Heechul smacked Hankyung's hand away. "Don't be stupid, he doesn't need a cape."
"I think we should test it," said Donghae. "Shiwon, can you fly?"
Shiwon wasn't even sure how to get out of the suit, much less how to use it. "Er. Fly?" He asked the suit, which almost seemed to have been listening in on the conversation, judging from the data and text that had been scrolling across the visor ever since Donghae's impressive feat of magic had backfired spectacularly.
"Yes, sir," came the voice from the suit, and faster than Shiwon had been expecting, he was hovering slightly of the ground, ready to have a heart attack.
"Wow," said Donghae. Hankyung nodded in agreement, though Heechul remained looking unimpressed. Donghae ran up to Shiwon. "What else can you do?"
Shiwon shrugged which upset his balance a little, causing him to flail his arms a little in an attempt to stabilize himself. That had the unfortunate effect of setting off something in the suit that blew up the wall behind Heechul
"What the hell," cried Heechul, "That nearly hit me!" Shiwon thought that, given the situation, it would be all right for Heechul to curse like that. It was hard to blame him, what with Shiwon nearly taking off his head and all.
Donghae paid no mind to Heechul's cries of distress and Hankyung looked more impressed with things blowing up than any concern for Heechul's safety. "I think," Hankyung said, slowly, "that you need an enemy. Right? To fight?"
"Oh," said Heechul, quickly getting over his possible demise at the prospect of Shiwon engaged in battle. "Donghae, make that happen," he ordered.
Donghae nodded, smiled, and pulled out his cheap magic wand, bottle of glitter, and top hat that really shouldn't have been magical at all except for the fact that they so clearly were, as Shiwon had come to learn. "Okay, I can!"
"I really don't think--" Shiwon started, but was unfortunately too late.
