В попытках заткнуть просочившиеся в прессу сведения о контактах избирательной кампании Трампа с российскими спецслужбами принимал участие не только Ринс Прибус, но и пресс-секретарь Белого дома Шон Спайсер, который лично оказывал давление на нового директора ЦРУ и республиканских председателей комиссий Конгресса.

Такое давление является весьма беспрецедентным, но оно приносит свои плоды. Республиканцы в Конгрессе, которые отвечают за расследование российского вмешательства, в частности упомянутый Devin Nunes, начинают публично отметать информацию о причастности Трампа.

Естественно на демократов такие аргументы не действуют, тем более что комиссии Конгресса еще не успели рассмотреть доказательства и заслушать свидетелей.
