Ian began to shake uncontrollably at the nurse's words. "No! You can't let him die! Please! Please...." His words had faded into a whisper, as he realized that all of this mess was his fault. This feeling hit him in full, and he screamed loudly, "No! Anthony! I won't let you die for my stupidity!"
He began struggling and thrashing, completly ignoring the intense pain this brought to him. All noise was blocked out, and the world seemed to be moving in slow motion. He was vaugley aware that struggling would get him nowhere. As he watched a nurse pull out a large needle, his heart filled with fear. Fear that they were going to put him out. Fear that when he awoke, Anthony would be dead, and he would be in prison.
This fear brought him back to reality, and he used every ounce of that pain and fear to throw all the people off of him, and stand up. He ripped off the cords attached to him. He began to run down the halls screaming "Anthony! Anthony!" He felt dizzy, fell to to the floor, and hit his already severley damaged head on the hard tile. The world slipped into darkness.

Anthony awoke with a sudden jolt, and immediatley sat up. He hit a button on his bed, and as a nurse walked in, the first thing he said was, "Where's Ian?"
The nurse replied, "Your friend Ian? I'm afraid that's classified information."
"Please," Anthony said, "I need to know. He's my best friend, and if he's dead, or arrested, I have the right to know,"
"Look, kid, I wish I could tell you, but I can't. First, It's illegal for me to tell one patient about another patients condition. Also, I couldn't stand to see your face when you hear the news,"
"Please, please...." Anthony stared into the beautiful young woman's eyes, "Please..."
"He's not dead, and he's not arrested. That's all I can tell you," the nurse replied.
"Thanks. Hey, by the way, when can I leave this place?
"Tomorrow. You're supposed to leave tomorrow."
"Thanks." he said as she left the room. Things were looking up for Anthony, or so he thought. He had no idea what was in store for him the very next day.
