Unless you've seen them already. I was a weeping child curled on the couch watching
Philadelphia last night, but it is an amazing and powerful movie.
It got me to thinking about another movie,
And The Band Played On, I watched almost 10 years ago, about how the AIDS virus began to really seep into America and how people reacted. I was blown away by the movie and now that I remembered it I am going to have to buy it.
It is amazing how cruel people can be toward others. I know a lot of people who know about Philadelphia, but not too many know about And The Band Played On. They are both fantastic movies.
When the doctors start acting like businessmen, who do the people turn to for doctors?
I heard that line almost 10 years ago and never forgot it, because I was so shocked on how some doctors reacted to AIDS.
In all honesty I don't know anyone with AIDS, I don't even know anyone who has cancer, but I know that I would give the utmost unwaivering support to anyone afflicted with any disease or disability. And I hope others would do the same.
