What is in as far as hairstyles go?
I am very aware that big poofy curly hair isn't the happening thing, seeing as how that is what my hair does naturally. I would have been a teenager hair goddess had I been 13 or so in the 80s.
The messy curly look is in, but I just can't get my hair to do that messy look without getting the poofy poodle look, so I just don't try. Thank god for the flat iron. Straight hair is my present look.
I am currently in the process of growing my hair out. There is some weird obsession that guys have for girls with long hair, and unfortunately, my boyfriend is one of those guys. I mentioned cutting my hair short like I had it when I was bartending and he asks "you mean that lesbian cut?" First off, it wasn't a lesbian cut. My hair was not buzzed or cut Sinead O'Connor short, if that is what a lesbian cut even is. My hair was somewhat short, able to spike up in the back and do all crazy and flipped out everywhere else, I thought I looked very cute. He said that I "pulled it off" but preferred how my hair was when he first met me, which means he liked my hair grown out past my shoulders. I haven't had my hair that length since he met me 4 years ago. I'm kind of excited to have my hair long again, but I'm getting ancy to do something with it. This is usually the point where I cut it all off, so I'm thinking highlights, I've never dyed my hair before.
But I was able to turn the tables on him. He is due for a hair cut, it's getting a little thick and is starting to stick out on the sides, and as handsome as he is, he would NOT look good with Johnny Depp hair, it has to be short. But, a style wouldn't be bad. He's still rockin the haircut he has had since junior high/high school and he graduated in 1995. This guy in Taylor has been cutting his hair since he was in the 3rd grade and he refuses to go anywhere else. He drives all the way to Taylor every two weeks for a frickin hair cut. It's beyond me. He also insists on highlighting his hair regularly. In the 4 years I've known him I've never seen his hair its natural color. He refuses to change his hair ways. It doesn't look bad by any means...but he could be so much hotter with a little change.
When I met him his hair was highlighted blue, he had his lip and eyebrow pierced, his nails were silver and he had both ears pierced. So sexy...4 years ago. Let's move with the times baby.
