Words without a sound coming from your eyes

Well, I've completed my first full week of the semester. I'm not overwhelmed with homework yet, which is a positive thing.

I auditioned for Valleyfair yesterday to be a performer there for the summer. (Valleyfair=Amusement Park in Minnesota) There are only four spots open and over 200 people who tried out total. (Some people can be subtracted from that number that were instrumentalists, as well as people who were cut after singing) I got asked to stay for the dance callback, so that was a good thing. If I were to base me getting picked solely on the singing, then I would say that I would have a great chance. However, I messed up a bit on the dance, which was to "Spice Up Your Life" taking me back about ten years. I won't be really disappointed if I don't get it, but I'm glad I went, it was a good experience. I have a guaranteed summer job working as a day camp counselor for the Y, so my summer employment status doesn't depend on it.

Other than that, the weekend was good, I got to catch up with a lot of my friends. I went shopping on Saturday and got two long sleeve shirts for $3 each, and a black dress for $10. Woohoo bargains! I also bought the first mediums that I have in a looooong time, which was kind of nice. :)

Ben Folds is coming here in April for our big every other year concert event. I'm SO EXCITED! It's only $10 a ticket. He's someone at the top of my list to see in concert that I haven't yet. He's coming the week after my recital, the week before our choir tour. It's crazy how almost all of my weekends are already filled for the rest of the semester.

Going to NEW YORK in less than three weeks! I'm pumped! And going to New Orleans in a little over a month.

That's all from me for now. :) Have a good night!
