I have officially joined the club singing odes to Ed Brubaker and what he did with Captain America a few years ago. I finally got my Winter Soldier Ultimate Collection, and it's pure candy. Steve's angry and so very human and still adorable, and it's sweet even Captain America faces challenges like having to team up with his ex-girlfriend. Speaking of whom, thanks to the artists' team, Sharon Carter has the best hair ever. And there's Bucky. <333 I love the way Steve and Bucky's war-time partnership is pictured in this run, Steve himself admitting that Bucky was there to do the dirty work the National Icon couldn't get his hands into, and it's quite chilling to see Bucky in that ridiculous outfit go into stealth mode and slit people's throats like nobody's business. I wouldn't have believed that in the end Steve goes Mufasa's ghost on the Winter Soldier, but it actually kind of works, because Steve. And who doesn't like robotic arms? *fangirl insanity*
(Also, +gazillion points for someone who repeatedly points out that nothing good ever comes out of playing with a Cosmic Cube. xD)
Meanwhile in Nazi occupied France real life: I made After Eight cupcakes on Saturday, and before that I refused to believe there can be such a thing as "too much chocolate". I was wrong. I also thought it wouldn't be such a big deal to finally take the mandatory Swedish course. The first meeting is today and I'm panicked shitless.
