Rainy weekend

Oct 01, 2006 15:41

I just ran all my errands within an hour. That makes me happy. I don't plan on spending that much money this week. The HMV up here has some pretty decent deals for movies and cds, but I can't give in to temptation. Not to mention the fact that I'm always in the mood to go see a movie, and uhh, oh yeah they're $11.95 a ticket here! The theater is absolutely gorgeous though, and the commercials aren't  annoying.

There was a pack of people on the intersection earlier holding signs that said, "Abortion kills children",  "Hurts women", and other things about "The Lord". I'm not going to get into it, and I can't allow myself to get too frustrated. But I will say these two things:

1. You can't change people's lives and profound opinions on anything with a poster board (it only gets people more upset).

2. Men should not even be holding those anti-abortion signs, because they have a penis. And more men walk away from women and children anyway.

I think I've made my point.

It's been raining on and off for a long while now. The weekends so far have been almost identical (weather-wise). And I haven' seen the moon since forever.

I have a really neat idea for a short film. I hope it works. I see myself playing a role. We'll see what happens I guess.

This week is going to be crazy, but I'm excited. And oh yeah, hello October! Nice to see you! Made it through September, which wasn't easy. But who said anything about anything being easy? Anyway, I digress. October is here, and it will have its ups and downs. Sucks I won't be home for Halloween. And I don't think I can have Thanksgiving in this month, it would be too weird. What really matters is, December is just around the corner. But anyway, I was talking about this week...Doing a short two-minute film Tuesday. Should be fun. And I'm starting a new screenwriting workshop on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Apparently by the end of the workshop (which won't be for a while) we're going to complete a thirty-page script. And oh yeah there's a Historty/Theory test this Thursday. Fun stuff. Farewell sleep! But no seriously, I've heard some people (in the industry) say that they don't sleep. Sometimes they only get three or four hours if they're lucky, and once a weekend or vacation comes they just sleep for days. Anyway...forgot what I was gonna say...

I miss Ashley. And my bunny. And my brother. And my keyboard. And my band.
I do like it here though. I do. It could be worse, a lot worse. This was the path that I chose, so...here it is. Lotta hard work to do...

That's it for now. Until next time. Thanks for reading. But for all you anonymous posters out there, stay the fuck away from my journal. Thanks.
