sometimes it's better to fold than keep on playing

i had a great, relaxing sort of weekend. nothing really beats a healthy dose of pop culture with a friend. miniTHUNDERCATS 2009 was awesome, but in the end i think i was happy it was a mini-marathon instead of an all-out assault on my better judgement. at least i got several great ideas for halloween this year.

i was busy for the rest of the weekend as well - visiting the 'rents and doing some ridiculous drawing for tonight's class. there are no signs of anything slowing down anytime soon....or ever. i think one of the things i'm most excited about for field school is getting to slow down for a decent chunk of time. and just being excited about it in general. i did a lot of research on sleeping bags, and i've almost decided on the mountain hardwear clouds rest +5. it got a lot of good reviews, and weighs in at 3 lbs 6 oz. that's a little bit heavy, but the 2008 models are on sale at some online outfitters.

anyways, lots of things to occupy me today - work, drawing class, and lots of stuffs in between.
