progress

I have a deadline - this is the background from the prior deadline, plus the entire argument section - due tomorrow at 6 pm. 24 hours. I have something written for each of the sections, but I know there's circular logic tucked away in the midst of what should be my strongest argument. I also have one argument that i've been calling my "vestigal tyrannosaur arm argument" - it is weak and withered and ineffectual, and squeaks in a very unintimidating voice, "Fear me! I am an argument!" (There's a great arm-motion that goes with that, but I don't have a digital camera handy.) And everybody chuckles, calls it a "little tyke," pats it on the head, and goes about their business.

Writing this much was like pulling teeth. I haven't been able to really look at what I have written, yet. I need to. I really need to. There is going to be much teeth-gritting and deep breathing involved.

And all I want to do is pack for Thanksgiving and sit by the window waiting for Dr Turtle and play with my kitten in the meantime. But Dr Turtle won't be here until tomorrow night, and I have 3 classes to go to before then, and work tomorrow...

*sigh* I just need to be able to channel this energy into something productive. from 9:30 until midnight, and then I'll stop, and be done, and just not worry because, as the chorus around here this week goes, "It's a DRAFT!"
