garden update :)
Today's additions were green beans (2 rows) and tomatoes. Both determinate (bushes, rather than vines), and both from seeds. there were tomato plants at lowes, but all of them looked a little.... something. so i went to the seeds. we'll see what happens. *shrug*
Homestead tomatoes: germination in 8-10 days (6/26-28), harvest in 80 days (9/6).
stringless green pod beans: seedlings in 7-14 days (6/25-7/2), harvest in 50 days (8/7).
That's about all of the planting i have planned for the summer. if i'm inspired to rummage in the storage space under the deck and pull out terra cotta pots, i might do some mint and oregano or something. other than that, i'll prep some additional space for the *fall* garden. heh, the South. awesome.
